ADNS (www.adns.net) today announced that it will now support the PUBLIC-ROOT Project (www.public-root.com) and that it will volunteer to operate a internet domain name root server for the project. 

John Palmer, Root-Operator of the new "G.PUBLIC-ROOT.COM" and president of ADNS says: "ADNS has been involved in the Inclusive Namespace since its inception in 1995 and is proud to be part of the Public-Root network. We believe that stability is essential in root server operations as this helps convince users that the Inclusive Namespace is safe and reliable. ADNS looks forward to working with the Public-Root community to help provide free and broad choice in the Namespace."

Mr. Palmer also announced that the usage of its Inclusive Namespace servers doubled in one month to over 16 million hits in April 2004. "More and more people are realizing that a simple one-minute configuration change on their computer can open the door for them to thousands of new domain extensions like .USA, .COM2, .EARTH, .AMERICA and .ETC"

ADNS will still operate an Open Root Server Consortium (ORSC - www.open-rsc.org) server as it has for many years.
